TARGET AUDIENCE / Expected institute participants include professional academics / researchers, doctoral candidates, research-driven students enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree, and industry professionals. We do welcome and encourage participation by anyone who is interested in the interdisciplinary learning programme of the insititute; if in doubt, please contact the institute organisation.
DATES / Applications are accepted and evaluated on a continuing basis as long as there are places available. Please consult the application instructions and process below.
PARTICIPATION / There are no fees for participating in the institute. The only applicable costs are those that directly pertain to accomodation, board, and facilities at the institute venue. Through the generous support of Schloss Dagstuhl (the Leibniz Center for Informatics), these costs are highly subsidised. Details may be consulted below.

- Applications to participate should be submitted by first emailing the Institute Chair (Mehul Bhatt)
- Applications to participate should be submitted via the Easychair platform: Institute 2024 @ Easychair
- The following application documents are to be submitted online in the given order (combined together as a single PDF):
- CV (Max 2 pages); most important are details of educational background and present academic affiliation / status; ideally, names of two academic referees should be included in the CV. Maximum of two citations to peer-reviewed publications may be included in the CV.
- Motivation Statement (Max 200-250 words); please state your motivation to particiate / interest in Institute 2024.
- Academic referral; e.g., from one of the two listed referees in the CV. If your university / organisation is financially supporting your participation, then this should also be stated in the referral (absence of a statement to this effect will imply lack of financial support).
Participation
- Institute Fees: Free of cost; there are no fees to be paid for particiation in the technical programme of Institute 2024
- Board and Lodging: The total cost per person is EUR 420. This cost includes:
- Accomodation throughout the Institute (5 nights; arrival Sunday, departure Fri post lunch)
- Breakfast on all days
- All lunches, coffee breaks, and dinners during the dates of the Institute
